Display Application Engineer – Taipei

In this Application Engineer role, you will work with marketing team to define new products and design demo boards for display product line including schematic/layout design, new product testing/debug. This AE position will focus on display product, especially for MicroLED backlight application.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the reference design of display products (LCD Display and MicroLED backlight) and the design of IC evaluation board.
  • Sample commissioning and functional verification.
  • Assist in the implementation of various type tests of products.
  • Formulation, filing and change of product technical documents (including PCB process, drawings, etc.)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive and lead technical verification of industry-wide interface standards for the PC, workstation, and consumer electronics industries
  • Communicate and work with team members across multiple disciplines
  • Deliver detailed test plans for verification of complex digital design blocks by working with design engineers and architects
  • Create and enhance constrained-random verification environments using System Verilog and UVM
  • Identify and write all types of coverage measures for stimulus and corner-cases.
  • Debug tests with design engineers to deliver functionally correct design blocks.
  • Close coverage measures to identify verification holes and to show progress towards tape-out.
  • Participate in test plan and coverage reviews

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in EE, CE, or CS
  • 3+ years or more of practical semiconductor design verification experience including System Verilog, UVM, assertions and coverage driven verification.
  • Experience using multiple verification platforms: UVM test bench, emulator, software environments and system testing
  • Track record of defining verification methodologies
  • Experience with test plan development, building the necessary test bench infrastructure, developing tests and verifying the design
  • Experience with identifying bugs in architecture, functionality and performance
  • Experience verifying at multiple levels of logic from IP blocks to SoCs to full system testing
  • Experience with industry standard tools and scripting languages (Python or Perl) for automation
  • Understanding and knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years or more of practical experience
  • Excellent programming skills in C/C++ and scripting skills in Python, Tcl, and/or Perl
